Radio Journalism

Would you like to work as a radio journalist? Writing for the ear is quite different from writing for print media. In this course module, you will learn how to text for broadcast.

The module is designed to train participants to maximize their effectiveness as a radio script writer. It's important for radio writers to remember that every word is crafting a visual image in the minds of listeners. Athough a picture may be worth a thousand words, in radio, your word picture must be only a fraction of that or the listeners will get bored and change the station.

This module is designed to teach students how to create fantastic mental images for the listeners without being wordy, allowing students to take their listeners anywhere using only their voice and the microphone.
